The Dressrosa Arc is the twenty-seventh story arc in the
series and the second and final arc in the Dressrosa Saga (ドレスローザ編 Doresurōza Hen?) of One Piece,
continuing from the Punk Hazard Arc. Also known as the Pirate Alliance Saga, it
is the second saga of the second half of the manga and anime series and is the
eighth saga overall. After capturing Caesar Clown, the Straw Hats and Trafalgar
Law travel with Kin'emon to Dressrosa; there, in the second stage of their plan
for dethroning Kaido of the Four Emperors, they aim to take down the nation's
king, Warlord of the Sea Donquixote Doflamingo. They challenge Doflamingo and
uncover a decade-long conspiracy on Dressrosa island. Their resulting actions
against the Warlord send a massive shockwave throughout the world and result in
the birth of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Dressrosa is the second island the
Straw Hats encounter in the New World, although the third island since the
timeskip.
